Our widow’s project was much affected by Covid 19 due most people migrating back to their villages of origin. Currently, we’re struggling to find funding to improve the widow’s project and we’re looking for funding for purchasing sowing machines so that they can resume producing African wear for sell. We want to raise funds for to purchase 3 sowing machines for making/tailoring African fabrics which can be sold and the profit can go towards alleviating widow’s poverty. We could also apply for tenders from local schools to sow children’s school uniforms and the profit generated can be a significant help towards the home’s expenses such as food, medical treatment for children, purchase scholastic materials etc. The prices of sowing machines range from £300 onwards depending on make. We’re looking to raise £1,000 for 3 machines plus materials.
